MIXTAPE FACTORY SIGNS PARTNERSHIP WITH COSON NIGERIA ON STREET REBRAND PROJECT

Kombos Entertainment (Mixtapes Factory) has teamed up with Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) in its attempts to rebrand  the streets

Witnessing the partnership signing event held at the COSON Conference hall, Allen Avenue, Ikeja on Tuesday October 10, 2017 was Chibueze Okereke (Head of Licensing), Ms Simi Washpam (General Counsel, COSON), Mrs Bernice eriemeghe ( Head Finance & Admin COSON); Ms Oyinkansola Fawehinmi (Head of Legal Mixtape factory) and Mr olatunbosun Musa (Business Director Mixtape Factory), Tayo faniran, Apex & Bionic, and journalists.
Coson’s  signing a partnership with mixtape factory is in line with its commitment to advancing the music and copyright management in Nigeria, which makes it truly gratifying to see authorities joining hands to facilitate the renowned project (Street Rebrand).

Speaking at the event, Mr musa olatunbosun known as ‘Bosun parrot’ ( Business Director of Mixtape Factory) said ; “the street rebrand project : non-stop mixtape is actually a dream come true for artistes, licensing bodies, producers , content owners , marketers because is an all-inclusive industry where every person in the circle chain of musical works creation are adequately enumerated.”

While entertaining questions from guests present on the possibility of the street rebrand project in helping to avert or reduce illegal dealings and privacy ravaging the Nigeria music industry, Ms Oyinkansola Fawehinmi (Head of Legal at Mixtape Factory) shed more light on measures mixtape factory is putting in place.

“The rebrand project will impact hugely on the growth of the African music business landscape.
More so it will help eliminate piracy because of its partnership with the federal government and Coson Nigeria as a body.
She further enjoined all licensing bodies, composers, producers and artistes to embrace the Street-rebrand Project as this is the first of its kind and revolution of non-stop mix distribution legally in the country.

This message is one of necessity and especially apt seeing as piracy has eaten deep into the Nigerian entertainment hemisphere so we need to embrace the new era of the Street-Rebrand.
